It includes a ride up Mountain Creek to the Eagle peak area (Yellowstone's highest peak) as well as a ride to visit the Trident, the Thorofare's most prominent geological feature. Three of the five nights are spent at a base camp, so this trip is ideal for fly fishermen (which isn't to say that this trip is only for fishermen).
The first night is spent at a beautiful campsite on Yellowstone Lake, and on the second day, we proceed to the very heart of the Thorofare to a campsite on Mountain Creek, where we will set up camp for three nights. From this base camp, we will take day rides into various parts of the Thorofare. Finally, we return to the lake and then the trailhead from whence we began. The map to the right shows our route and campsites. Part of this trip is featured in our Sample Pack Trip as well as our movie.
This trip covers about 75 miles and the total cost is $2,100 per person.
About the Thorofare
The Yellowstone Thorofare is home to all of the major species in the park, including the Delta wolf pack, grizzlies, black bear, and moose. It is also home to the headwaters of the Yellowstone river and the most remote wilderness area in the lower 48 states.

Be sure to check out the number one selling CD in Yellowstone by your guide, Jett Hitt. It is a full scale violin concerto recorded by the Slovak Radio Symphony.
