Gallatin Map

This is a beautiful trip through the Yellowstone portion of the Gallatin Range. It is one of the best trips to see moose. It begins on Swan Lake Flats, passes through Gardner's Hole and over Fawn Pass. On the return trip, we visit Sportsman's Lake and climb over Electric Pass. It also features a beautiful ride overlooking the Gallatin river in the vicinity of Big Sky, Montana. This trip takes place in both Wyoming and Montana, and the views are breathtaking no matter which state we are in.

We enjoy this part of the Park so much that we give most of our day rides in this region, but a day ride could never take you where this trip does. We camp right in the shadow of Electric Peak on Sportsman's Lake!

This horse pack trip is often ripe with wildlife, and this region is home to all of the major species in the park, including buffalo, bears, wolves, moose, and elk.
