A job opportunity with the Yellowstone Coyote Project brought Carrie to Yellowstone in 2004. Thereafter, she worked multiple seasons for both the Yellowstone Bison Project and the Yellowstone Wolverine Project.
Carrie has had incredible experiences outside Yellowstone as well. She has studied the African lion and spotted hyena in South Africa as well as geology in the Hawaiian Islands. Carrie was also invited to join the Minnesota Wolf Project under the direction of Dave Mech and, later, the Ontario Wolf Project. She has spent an abundance of time trapping and radio collaring wolves, and during the winter of 2009, she will join the Yellowstone Wolf Project.
Carrie started guiding for Yellowstone Wilderness Outfitters in the summer of 2005, and she is now the General Manager of Operations. With extensive backcountry experience as a wildlife biologist and thousands of miles on horseback, Carrie will be a real asset to your Yellowstone adventure. She will bring a wealth of wildlife knowledge and unique Yellowstone experiences to your trip.

Be sure to check out Yellowstone outfitter Jett Hitt's CD. It is a full scale violin concerto inspired by Yellowstone National Park and recorded by the Slovak Radio Symphony. It is so well liked that radio stations are using it as donor gifts in their annual fund-raisers. Check it out!
