Meet Your Guide

Katie Allison graduated in from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation Management and Zoology. For the past two summers she has worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation, primarily trapping and banding Mourning Doves for population studies. She has also assisted with prescribed burns of state and federal lands.

Katie participated in a study abroad program in Belize where she snorkeled and learned about ocean reef habitats as well as the cultural life of the indigenous population. She is an avid spelunker and loves learning about the importance of caves to our ecosystems.

Her favorite past time is trail riding. She has attended many organized trail rides throughout the state of Missouri and loves spending time with her Appaloosas. Katie loves educating people about the outdoors and the wildlife that surrounds us. She is joining Yellowstone Wilderness Outfitters this year for her first season.
